Sometimes, colour can distract from what truly matters.
Black and white strips an image back to its essentials, revealing light, shadow, texture and emotion. Without the distraction of colour, a photograph can feel more timeless, more intimate and, at times, more powerful.
For me, black and white is not about removing colour. It is about seeing differently.
